Tib Street – Victorian Restoration to Multi-Functional Space in Manchester
Location: Tib Street, Manchester Building Type: Victorian property Sector: Commercial / Mixed Use Scope: Heritage restoration, bespoke joinery, space reconfiguration
In Manchester’s Northern Quarter, Classic Building Group delivered a sensitive commercial victorian restoration of a property on Tib Street. The project involved transforming the historic building into a multi-functional space, balancing heritage restoration with modern commercial requirements. Our in-house team provided bespoke joinery, custom finishes, and a fully managed refurbishment process tailored to the client’s vision.
Working with planners and architects, we took the abandoned building from a derelict state of repair to a three-storey, multi-functional space.
The Victorian character of the property was carefully preserved while introducing modern infrastructure and design. From structural reinforcements to handcrafted interior details, every element was managed by our specialist team to create a functional, flexible commercial space that retains its original charm.
Bespoke Joinery and Interiors
Our in-house joiners produced custom furniture, staircases, and partitioning tailored to the building’s unique dimensions and period features. Using high-quality materials and traditional craftsmanship, the fit-out complements the property’s heritage while providing practical, contemporary usability.
We were delighted to work with award winning interior designer Paul Astill from Astill associates, throughout the planning, build and installation stages.
